Greene County libraries will present a re-imagined Toddler Fest after a two-year pause due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Toddler Fest is returning as “Toddle Through Your Library.” Each of the six libraries in the county will host a time families of children age 2-5 can drive through the library’s parking lot and pick up an activity bag. Each child will receive developmentally- appropriate, information about local resources available to families, a snack, a new book donated by the Rotary Club of Jefferson, and a bag of goodies from Partnerships 4 Families.
“Toddle Through Your Library” will coincide with National Library Week. Saturday, April 2, families can pick up activity bags at the Paton library from 9 to 11 am, at the Rippey library from 10 am to 12 pm, and at the Jefferson library from 2 to 4 pm. Families can pick up bags at the Churdan library between 9 and 11 am on Wednesday, April 6, and at the Scranton library that day from 5 to 6 pm. “Toddle Through Your Library” will be at the Grand Junction library Saturday, April 9, from 2 to 4 pm.
Families can visit whichever library’s event best fits their schedule, according to youth services librarian Stephanie Hall. Activity bags can be picked up after the events while supplies last.
The free drive-thru event is sponsored by the Greene County Libraries Association and the Greene County board of supervisors.
